Floor Sawing/Road Sawing:
A concrete saw (often known as a consaw or road saw) is a power tool used for cutting concrete, masonry, brick, asphalt, tile, and other solid materials. It can be a small hand-held cut-off saw, a big walk-behind saw or other styles, and it may be powered by petrol, hydraulic or pneumatic pressure, or electric motors. The saw blades used on concrete saws are often diamond saw blades to cut concrete, asphalt, stone, etc. Abrasive cut-off wheels can also be used on cut-off saws to cut stone and steel. The significant friction generated in cutting hard substances like concrete usually requires the blades to be cooled to prolong their life and reduce dust.
ACCD have a number of machines ranging from 35hp to 65hp self driven saws for everyday applications, from cutting for the demolition of concrete slabs, asphalt/concrete road cutting, factory floors, driveways, cutting of trenches for plumbers pipes or electricians cables. Penetrations are made in suspended floors or expansion cutting of green concrete to avoid random cracking. These machines are the most cost effective and the fastest cutting in the industry, cutting depths up to 600mm.
Road or Flat sawing is ideal for cutting horizontal flat surfaces such as concrete floors, bridge decks, pavements, and asphalt roads. The saws used are powerful, flexible and manoeuvrable with a very wide range of applications. They are suitable for use in shopping centres, hospitals or anywhere fume free cutting is necessary. Slab sawing, also known as flat sawing, floor sawing and road sawing, makes precision cuts in metal, steel-reinforced concrete, pre-cast concrete, asphalt and stone.
